Wow..it seems like yesterday...17th Oct, 2002..My first day at GE..it was my NHO..everything seems so exciting..there was less traffic coming home..road was narrow..there was less buildings..infact jus ship building and DLF square..2 days at NHO..getting mixed with call center crowd..coz no one knew whatz elearnin then..even now very few know.. :)) then on 21st i started actual work..there came monica kumar..are u the new GD and i said yes..chalo jaldi bahut kaam hai like it happens most of the time with new joinees..mjor rush and no download..and with it started my days at ge/gecis/genpact..and haven't looked back since then..every day has been brining good things to life..imagination at work..a dawn of the new day..every day has been proud and every day has created a business impact.. :)) its been fun..new jargons, acronyms..COPIS, SIPOC, GB, SPOC, WBR, TCON and what not..six sigma, GB, BB, LEAN..GD Forum, Design forum, endless meetings, initiatives, coomunications skills, team lead, project lead, APM, PM, AVP, AFM, FM, Design Architect..just the other day i heard this new one..Technolody Analyst :)) ZD, First pass, SODA :)) STAR RATING, RnR, Townhall, Fundoo Friday, FUnky Hours, Grind Break..QES, EMS, DAP, SKILL INDEX..a lot has changed..difernet team names..GEMS, GEHC, Xcelerators, Incredibles, TnX :)) ..the company name..building, transport, food, cafeteria, barrista is still the same though..kind of work we do..we do more ne stuff then wht we used to do 4 years back..elearning has shrunk..so many have gone (this year it has been the highest), old folks are still there (Shravan, Charu, SHyam, Preeta, Anjali)..each year i have grown not only in age but professionally..i have learnt so much..the greatest thing about this place is people and the trainings and also you come across so many different people and u learn so much from them..u exchange ideas..share jokes..sorrows...there is so much i can write..this place has give me my best buddy in preety and gr8 friends in rich, chubs, jold, ridz, barkhs..and other pals..dushti, nitin, dj, shravan, sam, preethi..
i have won awards, best lean projects, functional star, quizes, antakshri..
have tried different cuisines..watched n number of movies..
arguments..fights..
and my best year of the last 4 years has been 2006 when i met..umm..mmm..mmm.. ;)) actually this has been the best year in many other ways..i have matured :)) i talk sense :)) i am not negative or cynical anymore :)) i am a project lead, i organised the best townhall, i don fight for QESs score anymore..though this has been the year which has been most unstable for others and the organisation..so many movements..so many changes..so many resignations..now these things don make any difernece..i have become immune..coz i have good things to keep me busy :)))

i don kno if ill be still around at the end of 5th year..would love to..i don kno..may be..may be not.. :)) but this has been the best 4 years.. :)) it feels great
